With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.

bad design, but still functional
The design thinking that went into this product can be summed up with this example: there's a light to tell you when the vacuum is on, but no light to tell you it's seated properly in the charger and the battery is charging.
The only use i can think of for the light to tell you the vacuum is on would be a deaf person not currently touching the vacuum. That seems like a pretty small target audience.
However, a light to confirm charging would be very useful considering it's actually a bit of a pain to get the vacuum to rest properly in the charging cradle. It involves using one hand to position it while using the other hand (or a foot, if you're feeling adventurous) to hold what the product manual refers to as the 'nozzle' out of the way.
Also, you have to remove the hand vac from the stick-vac-attachment to empty the dust bin, which is pretty small since it's designed to fit on a hand-vac, and thus awfully inconvenient.

Hoover Presto 2-in-1 Cordless Stick Vacuum
This vacuum is ultra light and easy to maneuver. It is incredibly slim and easy to store anywhere. This vacuum is quiet enough that my toddler likes to help mommy use it! Needless to say, this vacuum was a big hit in our home.
This vacuum is really two machines in one. I can use this vacuum as a stick vacuum for cleaning my entire floor or I can use this vacuum as a hand vacuum for spot cleaning. This is fabulous for cleaning up after snack time. With a one touch release, I can easily detach the hand vacuum and use it to vacuum up crumbs.
It works just as well on my hardwood and tile floors as it does on my carpeting. I can clean my entire first floor with one machine!
I absolutely adore that this vacuum is completely cordless. I can charge the vacuum and go. I no longer have to trip over a cord or hunt for outlets when cleaning my home.

I'm happy with this
I am happy I chose this. First, it is an attractive, cranberry red that is slightly metallic -- does not look like a fire-engine red children's toy. It is light, very easy to maneuver, and thus I use it frequently. As other reviews have stated, the dust cup is tiny. That's probably the only reason I'm not giving it five stars. Because I'm lazy and use this only about once a week, I have to empty it twice during vacuuming. If I vacuumed more frequently, I'm sure it would be less of a problem. However, as an allergy sufferer with asthmatic children, I really appreciate a stick broom with HEPA. This was the only one i could find. I have a Miele HEPA Upright Vacuum, which I like, but somehow, the effort of plugging it in, dealing with the cord, and the extra weight, makes me almost always choose the Hoover PResto. And funnily enough, even emptying the small dust bin is somehow satisfying: it allows me to see how much dirt this takes in, so I don't mind it. I highly recommend this product.
