Powerful little vacuum, with some limitations
It is not obvious from the picture, but this is a corded vacuum. Newer models are cordless.

The suction is POWERFUL and it gets up a tremendous lot of stuff.

It is hard to drag across a carpet, in part because it is so busy sucking itself to the floor. It will get up dirt you didn't know you had... but you will have to work for every inch of it.

It is VERY lightweight.

The cord is a problem though... I got this for awkward spots and so I wouldn't have to work around a cord, and at some point I'm going to have to suck it up (so to speak) and get the newer version.

Works Well!
This is a light, compact vac with a useful beater brush. We use it for an RV and it works very well. It would be a good addition if it had a small-space attachment, though. Anyway, worth the money for our use!

I received this steamer yesterday after purchasing from Amazon. It came in the original packaging within a box from Amazon and the delivery time was swift and smooth.

Assemble the device was extremely easy, since it is essentially just a matter of putting the floornozzle and the handle in place and is ready to be used. Fill it with water is very easy because the water container is removable and does not require a funnel as in other models.

Now the operation. The switch has three settings: off (green), low steam (red) and high steam (blue). In any mode in about 15 to 30 seconds the steam flowing at maximum capacity.

Easy to use, powerful steam
Got this to replace a Shark handheld steamer which worked really well but was awkward and heavy to hold. This is much easier to hold in its handheld form, and as a mop it works really nice also. I cleaned my whole kitchen with this including granite counters, marble floors, stainless appliances and even inside the microwave and in all the nooks/crannies around the appliances. Blasted the burnt-on food right off the stovetop. I got junk out of those little hiding places that has probably been there for 5 years when we bought the house. I'm looking at my floors right now across the room, and they are gleaming. I got the base model which lacks the extension hose and extra cleaning pads, so I'm trying to locate a place to buy those. My only qualms are that it doesn't come with extra cleaning pads for the floor mop, and that it doesn't have a garment attachment. Otherwise, great price for a basic, but simple and useful device. Works very well so far
I've had this steam mop for a few months and it works well. You have to go over spots a few times, but this has been my experiences with all steam mops. i like t hat it also can steam counters, cracks or furniture.

Fantastic product! Great job on carpet, pleasantly surprised on tile.
I have previously used the Bissell 9400 ProHeat 2X Select Upright Deep Carpet Cleaner to clean the inevitable stains associated with cats and potty training little boys from my Berber carpet. A friend has that cleaner, so I borrowed it on several occasions before finally deciding to get one of my own. Just before I was ready to buy, Good Housekeeping ran a review on the Hoover SteamVac so I looked it up on Amazon. I read the reviews and decided to take my chances with it.

I am amazed at the difference in the two machines. The Bissell used to shear off fibers from the carpet and leave a nasty trail of what looks like hairballs behind as I worked. The clean and dirty tanks are in the same unit which is clever, but almost impossible to clean.

The Hoover has two tanks - one for clean hot water with a compartment for the cleaning solution, and one for the dirty water. Both water tanks hold...

Works Great!
So i've been looking for a steam cleaner for over a week,reading reviews on any steam cleaner that has a review to try to choose one that will work for my family. With all the negative feedback on the Hoover I was disappointed and thought about changing brands. I had a hoover spin scrub and it has worked wonderfully for over 5yrs but with bringing up and down the stairs and my son letting it pound on the stairs the front plate broke off. Although i could get it repaired, honestly i felt it was a good excuse to get myself a new one and chose to give my old one to charity.

Of all the reviews i have read, the one that i felt had any true meaningful information was a gentleman that was an engineer that said that the plastic on the tank was too brittle. Armed with this information, i did go to my local Hoover store to see what they had in stock. I was ready to purchase another spinscub or to have mine repaired.

I purchased the All-terrain steamvac after talking to...
Good....at first
We purchased the All Terrain about six months ago. The instructions are very well written and assembly was easy. I fired it up for the first time and it cleaned the carpets beautifully. I thought we had a real winner. After that initial use the problems began to creep up. Starting with the second use, the clean water tank began leaking around the seal at a fairly significant rate. I probably should have returned the unit, but I didn't, and now regret it because it is now totally out of commission. The brushes are connected to the unit via a drive shaft that is less than 1/4" thick plastic. On our cleaner this shaft sheered off and is stuck in the unit. Only at this point did I do any serious research about the All Terrain on the Internet and realized that these two issues are very common with these units and apparently dealing with Hoover for repair can be a nightmare. Caveat Emptor

Powerful Little Vacuum
This vacuum has multifunction uses and great suction with some little adjustments. The power brush cleans the carpet and the size is so easy to use on stairs. Remove the hose from the unit and vacuum with or without the brush extended on target areas and upholstery. When the hose is attached with the brush extended, the power brush isn't active. This feature is perfect for hardword or ceramic floors. Set the brush back before attaching the hose and the brushes are active. The cord is long enough to use the vacuum in a large room or down/up stairs. Cleaning the vacuum is an easy process. The exhaust blower does come out the sides instead of the back but I found it was no big deal. The vacuum is a bit louder than uprights but I'm closer to it than I would be with an upright. I am completely satisfied with this little vacuum.

Great vacuum for small house
I live in a small 1 bedroom house and this vacuum is awesome! I wanted a corded vacuum because I think the cordless vacuums aren't powerful enough to get dirt up.

It stores away nicely and is easy to get out due to its small size.

This unit has a washable HEPA filter (dust is removed from the air instead of being blown around) and is bag less (no running out of bags/filters in the middle of cleaning). It is easy to dump the refuse without making a mess. The capacity is small but that is the trade off for such a compact and maneuverable vacuum.

There is also a powered roller brush which works great on carpet and upholstery.

I've only had it for a week (it's still the honeymoon :-), so I'll update in a few months.
Best in class portable vacuun
My search for a corded portable vacuum began because I have given up on cordless portable vacuums. Peak power for the cordless units is short lived and it is not long before the units will not take a full charge. A replacement battery is almost as expensive as the unit itself.
Having said that I am thrilled with the Fuller Brush Power Maid corded portable vacuum.
It has a motorized brush which works great on pet hair and a built in hose that can be detached from the motorized head for jobs such as cleaning up kitty litter. When the hose is detached it deactivates the motorized head.
The end of the hose has a built in dusting brush attachment which must be slid forward and locked in place with a 1/8 turn. This design is very versatile because it lets you get into tight places.

When you are finished using the the dusting brush twist the brush to unlock it form its extended position, slide it back to the storage position and twist it slightly to lock it in...
